If
you saw any vehicle TV and DVD players a number of years ago and compared
them to the ones that exist today, you would definitely see some pretty
big differences. Some of these differences include:
• 20 years ago, DVD players did not exist in cars – This
is most likely the biggest difference maker. Even in a fancy limo or
something like that 20 years ago, you may have seen some kind of a TV,
but you definitely did not see any kind of a DVD player in them since
they barely even existed at that time. The TV back then would have been
small – maybe around 7-9 inches – and often black and white.
• 10 years ago – Around 10 years ago is when vehicle TV
and DVD players started to become available for automobiles. They were
not very prevalent and they were quite expensive. Only the richest of
the rich had these early DVD players in their cars. In the 21st Century,
car DVD players are quite prevalent. Not only TVs in cars fairly common,
but they also have DVD players. This is convenient because you have
both items in one unit. Likewise, there is a lot of convenience in the
fact that DVD players can be built into the car.
Vehicle TV and DVD players have definitely evolved quite a bit in recent
years. If trends continue, they ought to also continue to evolve as
they have for the past several years.
